Traveling The Easy Way.

Traveling The Easy Way.

How to travel smart and pack light.

Who doesn’t love to travel and see new places around the world?

I think 90% of the people love it! But when they do, it can get very frustrating and sometimes overwhelming.

I got the right tips and tricks for you! whether you are going for a couple of days or for a month long.

I just got back from Washington DC last week, I went for a week long, took one suitcase with me (weighing about 45 lbs), and carried my personal bag and backpack for the flight. I ended up paying over on my flight back.

I took way too many things with me, that I ended up not wearing most items during my travels.

My friend went backpacking in North America for about 4 months and took JUST 1 duffel bag with her. I was shocked and felt a little silly that I packed a large 45 lbs suitcase for just 1 week.

Packing was always a hard thing for me. So I went online and checked some tips to help me save time and space. I decided to change my lifestyle.

Here are the reason why:

  1. Easier mobility
  2. Saves you money and time
  3. And a better lifestyle.

I’ll explain…

When you have just one small back, you don’t have to worry about carrying something heavy for a long time, or running to catch the bus or train, and of course, you don’t need to worry about hurting your shoulders. When you travel with only a carry on, you save money by not paying for a checked-in bag. It also saves you time by not having to wait for your bag at the carousel when you land. You will be the first person out of the exit door.

Here is how to do it:

  1. Choose your favorite clothes and not something you haven’t worn at home for the last month or so.
  2. Choose your outfits with the right colors so that everything can go with everything.
  3. Roll the clothes rather than fold. They won’t get wrinkled and it saves some space in your suitcase.
  4. Limit your liquids- put them in small containers or zip-lock bags.
  5. Layer up. Bring multiple of clothes rather than a heavy coat- you will have more options.
  6. Wear the heaviest clothes on you (coat, boots, a pair of jeans…)
  7. Choose one pair of shoes that can go with pretty much everything. (you will wear one pair with you anyways- leaving you with 2 pairs)
  8. Check- in in advance! This will save you so much time at the airport.
  9. Travel light!

I hope that on your next trip you can travel light and not have to worry about the over-weight. Enjoy your trip!
